I squeaked in just the right amount of Kid’s Clothes Week making this week and man, oh man was it a success. I’m talking, of course, about these awesome Knight Hoodies. The pattern is from Charming Doodle and it is bang on! These two boys hate wearing sweatshirts and jackets or basically anything that will keep them warm or save them from a cold and desperate death from pneumonia. Not that this makes me anxious or anything. Ahem. Without diving too deep into my neuroses, let’s just say I am always searching for ways to make staying warm an inviting and irresistible proposition.
These Knight Hoodies are the perfect tom foolery because they look like an awesome costume. And, it worked! Look at these two playing knights!
So fierce, right?
The sweatshirts came together easily. The pattern is really fantastic and fun with great little details that somehow manage to avoid being persnickety or overly time-consuming. There is some hand-stitching of buttons but only because these buttons can’t be sewn on a machine. I actually did the hand sewing on a long car-ride to visit the grandparents, which I thought was very time-savvy of me.
The fit was really good for both boys. I’m hoping that the amount of fun they had wearing the hoodies for these pictures is proportional to the amount of wear they get in the future but that remains to be seen. At least I have one fun option up my sleeve to combat their resistance. It’s better than nothing!
I had to include this final boy band-style picture. Ha! These two are just so cute! It’s too much.
